Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) regulate the electrcial power sent to your pump motors, in order to optimize the pressure in your pivots and pipes. They conserve water, power, and money, while extending the operating lifespan of all watering system components.
VFDs work by modulating electrical power frequency. They do not change the voltage or current. They can be configured to respond to changes in line pressure, flow, tank level, or any factor you prefer.
Custom Irrigation recommends, sells, and supports the Valley Water Management VFD. It is based on the Yaskawa iQPump®1000 VFD.
VFDs typically pay for themselves in three years.
